Last updated: July 30, 2026
This policy explains what information ColombianAmazon.com collects, how it is used, and who to contact with questions. This site is published by the Embajada de la Amazonia Colombiana.
What We Collect
Contact form submissions. When you use the contact form on this site, we collect your name, email address, and message. This information is sent to us by email and is not stored in a public database.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use this site: which pages are viewed, how visitors arrive here, general device and browser information, and approximate location derived from IP address. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally. Google's own privacy policy governs how this data is processed: policies.google.com/privacy.
Cookies. This site uses cookies for analytics and for basic site performance (caching). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
What We Do Not Collect
ColombianAmazon.com does not process payments or sell anything directly, so we do not collect or store payment information on this site. Subscriptions to The Colombian Amazon Journal are handled entirely through Substack, which has its own privacy policy governing that relationship.
How We Use Information
- To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form
- To understand how the site is used, so we can improve its content and navigation
- To maintain the security and performance of the site
We do not sell or rent visitor information to third parties.
Other Sites We Link To
This site links to Mountain Bike Colombia, Dulce Amazónica, Origen Amazónica, Casa de Ciclistas, and The Colombian Amazon Journal on Substack. Each of these operates under its own privacy practices. This policy covers ColombianAmazon.com only.
